Top 10 tips for SME SEO
Put in its most simple form, search engine optimization, or SEO, involves applying techniques to make both your website and its content, detectable, and relevant to search engines, search engine spiders, and the human users of search engines.
As with all IT related subject matter SEO is full of three letter acronyms; if you are anything like me reading SEO forums can sometimes make you wonder if you are reading good advice or reading the spider code itself! Coming back to the fundamentals though, SEO that achieves results is grounded on some basic simple principles. Get them right and you are on your way to a good ranking – get bogged down in the acronyms and you might not even get off the starting blocks.
If you can cut through the crap, the SEO forums have proven very useful in my aim to improve my site’s search engine rankings, and ultimately get the coveted No1 spot. This said I can all too easily end up getting bogged down in the next latest and greatest technique, ROI or sandbox???
